Personal profile
Jessica joined Chambers as a first six pupil in October 2023 and is currently supervised by Serena Gates. Specialising in Crime, she has an interest in developing her knowledge in Sexual Offences and Serious Violence.
Jessica gained a First in English Literature from The University of Manchester, before commencing the PGDL at BPP on a Full-Fee Scholarship.
During her PGDL, Jessica volunteered for The Witness Service in Manchester Crown Court. She led pre-trial visits for prosecution witnesses and provided practical and emotional support through the trial process. Jessica then completed a Summer Internship with HMCTS, where she managed case documents on Common Platform.
Prior to pupillage, Jessica demonstrated a strong commitment to improving social mobility through working for the educational charities The Tutor Trust and Debate Mate.
